When people think of asphalt, roadways and parking lots are generally the first things that come to a person's mind. In fact, if you were to ask them to come up with other uses for asphalt, they may have a bit of a hard time coming up with other uses for asphalt. However, there are many ways in which it can be used. Here are some of the many other uses for asphalt services.

Driveways

Concrete driveways can be more common in some regions. However, asphalt can be a better way to go. Asphalt is easier to keep clean, handles extreme temperatures better, and tends to hold up better in very wet or very dry climates.

Walking paths

Asphalt walking paths can be better because they are better to walk on and for strollers. They provide you with a smooth and level pathway that helps to decrease the chances of people tripping over rocks or twisting their ankles in holes. Asphalt paths do a better job of blending in with the surrounding nature than concrete sidewalks do.

Biking and skating paths

Biking and skating paths that are asphalt provide a nice and smooth surface. Bike tires will better grip the asphalt, where the tires may slide on a dirt path. Skaters will be able to skate the path that they would have otherwise had to avoid when it was dirt.

Playground area

Whether you are looking for a way to create a playground area on your property for your own children or you are looking for ideas for your daycare or preschool center, asphalt can help. You can section off an area next to the grass or sand play area and have it paved with asphalt. The asphalt can be painted to create places for games like hopscotch and foursquare. This area can be for things like riding tricycles or wearing skates as well. It can also just be a good place where children can play games.

Resting areas

Resting areas on a large property can be made to be comfortable and nice-looking by providing a pad of asphalt for a bench to set on. The asphalt can prevent issues like dust blowing on people while they are sitting or the grass irritating their ankles. Also, many people are sensitive or even allergic to grass, so the asphalt can prevent them from coming in contact with grass that can be an irritant for them.
